Ladybird China Painting Group - About us |
| |
|
| |
|
Following a meeting in Warboys, Cambridgeshire, on 27th. April 1996, which was held, initially, to promote china painting in the East Anglian region, the Ladybird China Painting Group was formed, and it was agreed to hold monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month in The Meadow Suite at the Dolphin Hotel, St. Ives, Cambridgeshire in a beautiful setting situated on the picturesque River Great Ouse ( see picture above ) - a venue which is easily accessible from the A14. |
| |
Now, in its fifteenth year, the Ladybird China Painting Group is still flourishing. |
|
Would you like to join us? |

Anyone with an interest in the craft is most welcome and should find our meetings friendly, interesting and stimulating
|
| |
The Ladybird Group year begins in September - guest demonstrators having been invited for the September, November, February, April, and June meetings. Also in attendance at those times are suppliers of white china and porcelain items, china paints and lustres, brushes, mediums - practically everything required to indulge in this craft. |
| |
In alternate months 'Paint Together' sessions are held where members can practise techniques recently demonstrated, or continue with their own work in a relaxed environment. |
| |
December brings our seasonal Christmas Lunch, together with our annual Members' Competition, for which, in recent years we have had a set theme.
Pictures below are examples of members' work
